About
Tradies
S2S

Tradies Sutherland 2 Surf is one of the Sutherland Shire’s most iconic community events, bringing together thousands of runners, walkers, families and teams each July for an 11km journey from Sutherland to the shores of Wanda Beach.

More than just a race, S2S is a celebration of community spirit, local pride and healthy living. Proudly organised by Wanda Surf Life Saving Club, the event is also the Club’s major annual fundraiser, helping to support our volunteer surf lifesavers with essential training and lifesaving equipment.

Whether you’re chasing a personal best, taking it at your own pace, or walking alongside friends and family, S2S is an event for everyone — a day where the whole community comes together.

Course

info

The 11km course starts in Flora Street, Sutherland (between Merton and Belmont Streets) and winds its way to the finish line at Don Lucas Reserve in Cronulla.

It’s a course that welcomes everyone — whether it’s your first time or you’re coming back to beat your best. Along the way, you’ll be cheered on by locals, volunteers and supporters, all the way to a fun, beachside finish in the event village.

A downloadable course map will be available closer to race day.

s2s
schedule

Race morning starts bright and early, with the official start time at 7:30am sharp. Participants are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start to allow time for self-seeding and final preparations.

Results are available in real time throughout the morning, and winner presentations are planned for approximately 9:30am once results are confirmed.

The finish line area will be packed down by 11:00am as roads progressively reopen and the site is returned to the public.

Traffic
Plan

Road closures and detours are in place on race morning to ensure participant safety, which means traffic will be heavier than usual in and around the course.

Participants and spectators are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and consider public transport, taxi or rideshare services, being dropped off, or walking for shorter distances.

Public transport planning is available at transportnsw.info, and extra travel time should be allowed. A Road Closure Map will be provided closer to race day, and real-time traffic updates will be available via livetraffic.com.

Access
for
everyone

Tradies S2S is proud to be an inclusive event, welcoming participants of all abilities.

Wheelchair participants are asked to remain behind the lead vehicle at all times during the event. To ensure accurate timing, race bibs should be placed on the shins so the timing device can be correctly activated.

Wheelchair entries will close Sunday 5th June 2026 to support safe and effective event planning.

Companions are welcome, and anyone requiring additional assistance is encouraged to contact Wanda Surf Life Saving Club on 02 9523 4343 or email s2s@wandaslsc.com.au for further information.
